When a couple gets married they're not just marrying each other, they're marrying their spouse's mother as well. A lot of people don't see it that way, but it's the God's honest truth. I mean think about it. Marriage is suppose to be a sacred sacrament between two people who love each and want to spend the rest of their life together. (aka: "To death due us part"). But before the love birds get married, who do you think is the most important person in their life? Their mother, of course. Hell, she was the one who gave birth to them, who cared for them, and pretty much molded them into the person you fell in love with. Now I'm not saying that fathers don't do their part; its just that mothers have this special knack of keeping their children close.....no matter what. Its just "mother" nature.
You see people praising their mother's everywhere.....When a child gets hurt, who do they call for? When a celebrity wins an award, who do they thank first? When a football player scores a touchdown, who do they say hi too? Momma, mother, mom....she's always there for you. But what happens when your mom passes away (as did mine in 2004)? Are you left with no support, no tender loving care? I'm not. I thank the good Lord everyday for bringing me closer to my mother-in-law, Vivian. If it wasn't for her, I probably would have closed myself off from everything and everyone. She has been my shoulder to cry on, my friend to tell secrets too, and above all, loves me for just the way I am. So thanks mom, for everything.....I love ya!
