Free Time

My children ask me the same question every morning.....and every morning I give them the same answer.  They ask me, "Mom, why do we have to go to school?"  My response:  "Everyone has a role in life.  The children's job is to attend school and make good grades.....and parents have to go to work to earn money so that they can provide their children with the necessities needed to survive.  If neither of us do our part, we wouldn't have extra curricular activities to look forward to."  Oh course they always frown at my answer, but I'm hoping one day they will understand.

After working a long week, I like to relax by going out and doing something that I enjoy on my free time.  Every Friday night I go to Holiday Lanes and bowl (on a league) from 6:30 to 9:00.  That's what I call my "outlet".  Some people go bar hopping, some play pool, and some people just like to spread out on their couch and watch movies.  Whatever your "outlet" may be, its always good to do something to occupy your free time.  Not only is it a good stress reliever, but it helps you to regroup and prepare your inner thoughts for the next go round.

Its been great talking on this blog.  Ya'll be safe out there!  God bless!

  2. Since the inception of the public school system, children have asked that question. Just tell them the truant officer will come get them if they don't go!

I hope you have an excellent holiday season. I've enjoyed reading your blogs and your essays this semester.
