Being a single mom, I am always pressed for time. So instead of taking a shower in the morning and then figure out what to wear, I bathe in the evening and pick out my clothes for the next day. But every time I stand in front of my closet to choose, I have a pondering look on my face. I have a nice variety of clothes to choose from, but can't make up my mind. How can I have so many clothes yet wear the same ones over and over again? Is this normal? Why don’t I wear some of the clothes that are hidden away in my closet? Are they out of style or have they gotten to small for me? Whatever the answer is, I’ll always be bum-fuzzled.
I know what you mean on this, because I have many clothes too. When I go out, I like to look my best, but the process is as you would say, bum-fuzzling. Just too much variety and circumstances to choose. I don't want to be overdressed, but at the sametime, I don't want to be underdressed. Getting dressed is a bum-fuzzling process.
ReplyDeleteWe wear what's comfortable. You might need a closet intervention--clean it out and only put back what you have worn in the last year. Then donate the rest of the clothes (make a list and assign a value--it's a tax deduction!). That might help with the "overwhelmed" feeling when you stand looking in the closet.

I am the same way! Although, I am not a single mom I get my things ready the night before because I have to drive all the way to Benton for my child's nanny. And I'm always wondering what to wear and I have just recently gotten my winter clothes back out - wow - they are everywhere with my trying to figure out what to keep and what not to keep.
ReplyDeleteI've always been told, if you haven't worn it in a year, then give it away, chances are you will not wear it again.
